"Listened to concerns, assessed needs and implementing a plan"
Shannon was professional from jump and provided details on her background which let me know we were in the right hands. She asked many questions to better work towards our goal of ensuring my child was comfortable andmore confident in certain areas. Although we are going into our 4th lesson, I've also added her for another area.
-Isis, 8 lessons with Shannon
"Very professional and knowledgeable"
She asked all the right questions at the first session, she had a very warm and calm demeanor and made us feel comfortable to explain our twins learning challenges openly.
-Teju, 12 lessons with Shannon

I have 15+ years’ experience teaching and tutoring at risk youth, special education students, and adult learners in the education setting and curriculum. As a special education teacher, I recognize and respect the uniqueness of each Learner. My goal is to foster confidence and achieve student success! I celebrate diversity and strive to instill integrity, compassion and confidence in each learner. I give each learner support and encouragement to become his or her own unique self and establish a love of learning. I adapt my tutoring approach to a variety of learning styles and make it fun!
I skillfully assist and provide students with tools for success in practical disciplines for them to use into everyday academics. Students learn to follow their curiosity, to think creatively, and to work both independently and cooperatively with others.
